Established over 25 years ago, Tauranga Boat Sales is the leading marine brokerage in the Bay of Plenty Region. We offer a comprehensive range of services to both purchasers and vendors and pride ourselves on having a "Client Comes First" approach to doing business. Our Crew are all long time boaters who have the experience and knowledge to make your time with Tauranga Boat Sales an enjoyable one. We treat our clients as our friends.

With offices on both Tauranga Marinas and a prime Sales Berth at the Bridge Marina, we are positioned to maximize the profile of boats for sale and ensure a wide variety of listings for buyers to view. Our reach extends much further than the Bay of Plenty. We have competed sales to all parts of New Zealand as well as numerous offshore transactions. We recently sold a top end offshore cruising yacht to a family from Alaska!

We are experienced with importing, exporting, vessel re-registration and all aspects of handling the sale of foreign vessels. We can arrange local or worldwide shipping or delivery. Nothing is too hard, just ask!

Tauranga Boat Sales is a member of the New Zealand Marine Industry Association. We embrace this organization's Best Practice Guidelines which include the use of a Trust Account in handling all client funds.

Brian Kent
The owner/manager of Tauranga Boat Sales, Brian has been involved in boats since early childhood. His experience includes active dinghy racing, extensive coastal and offshore racing and cruising. His offshore racing includes numerous Transpac and Mexico races with several wins. In 1999, Brian and his wife Bridget along with their three children set sail from California for three years of cruising through the Pacific on board their Peterson 46 "Loafer". Settling in Tauranga in 2002, Brian has become an active part of the sailing scene. Former coach of the Otumoetai Sailing Team, Brian spends a good deal of his spare time racing on board "Bee Bad", a Young 11 that he is partners in. Brian's other interests include flying gliders, diving, fishing and barbecuing! "I am very pleased with the crew we have at Tauranga Boat Sales. Brett Eaton
Brett has been involved with boating from an early age, from small yachts to renovating launches, cray fishing locally here in the Bay of Plenty and the Coromandel. Over the years he has been involved as crew on a number of fishing and adventure trips aboard several successful Charter Vessels including the Manutere, Albatross III, and Sierra II. The boats Brett was on developed a well earned reputation for their cray fishing skills. Other activities included running dive parties and bird watching trips. In his spare time, Brett enjoys hunting snapper and riding motorbikes. Brett's experience means he is very qualified to work with clients whether buying or selling their boat.

Ian Thomas
Ian has been involved in the Tauranga boating scene for many years. He is a keen fisherman and currently has a Vindex 350 which has a well known reputation for catching fish in the area. Ian is very active locally and is currently President of the Tauranga Game Fishing Club. Ian is always happy to share his knowledge and assist with selling or buying your boat.

Rod Horne
Rod has been involved in recreational boating most of his life. The last 40 years has seen him undertaking marine engineering, and marine retailing, and he has partnered in the production of a range of Alan Wright design motor sailors and trailer sailors! The last 10 years approx he has undertaken the role of a yacht & launch broker based here in Tauranga. His leisure pursuits include boating, aviation, tramping and outdoor activities
